..Your chosen character would have to eat. That doesn't mean walk into a chicken. You'd have to either buy food or prepare it. What if you spilt ketchup on your top? You couldn't defeat super villians looking like that, so you'd have to go home and get changed, or even master the washing machine! Also food would not miraculously cure a stab wound, you'd have to sit in A & E all evening waiting to see an over worked doctor. And it would be in real time. Also when battling super villians they wouldn't flash when they begun to weaken (or maybe that's why they're villians if they go around flashing!)

Marvin the Paranoid android had a brain the size of a planet but was depressed because people kept asking him to do simple things, like open doors. Talking about artificial intelligence, there's not much out there at the moment that you can "train" yourself, it's all pre-programmed. How about a console that presented games to you the way You wanted them presented, based on your previous gameplay? If you played a lot of RPG's then the console would select RPG style games for you, see what I mean? It would learn as you used it, and adapt to your gaming needs. 20 years away? I think perhaps yes.

It's the unrealism that attracts you to the game, I remeber first time I played Gran Tourismo, you could spend loads of cash on the top of the range car that you had seen that morning on some Miami Tv programme, and then put some high tech equip on it and race it to earn more money to make it faster, most of my mates that had that game couldn't drive and weren't expecting to for the next 3 years, if the game was based on waiting for your first driving test then that would be boring, you play your console because you like the idea of shooting aliens that you never knew existed with some guns that aren't going to be invented for the next 50 years! if it was too realistic then it would loose the gameplay, Goldeneye was based in a realstic time, because some charachters like Pierce Brosnan and Shaun Been which we relate to other films, but even Bond used new technology that we wont see unless your IQ suddenly grows past 1000 like the computer from Red Dwarf series 1-5(I think) but we related to the game as we had seen the film and liked to play the movie out in our own time, and liked the idea of walking around the movie set seeing all the characters face to face.

Great idea, only 1 problem. It probably won't be invented for a couple of years, although they are testing new machines that you attach to the side of your head and it can affect your balance, great for when u get shot, it could make u fall backwards !

To make games much more intresting and realistic, it should all be done in virtual reality, and special suits should be made which makes you feel what your characters feel, only weakened, so it wont hurt.

Well adults would be locked away and the key thrown away- but if you were a kid it would be OK, wouldnt it?

Or to make everything even more realistic..why not just go and 'play out' your favourite game in real life? Ok,so reinacting Final Fantasy ,Goldeneye and Mario might get you sent to jail/the looney bin..but it's worth a try.Just a thought.

I think you should be able to feel everything your character feels with sailor suits

When you watch films you don't want them to be too realistic. I have seen posts on this site saying that games should be more realistic though. How about a game in which you are a spy that has to travel all over the world, but unfortunately have to spend ages getting through customs when you go to a foreign country. Oh no they fear that you are a drug baron, and wish to search every inch of your body, inside and out! (Still think that being able to feel everything you character feels with sensor suits is a good idea?)
