I think everyone seems sure that the DC, once these three are released, will be all but dead and buried. But out of the big three, Playstation 2, X-Box and Gamecube, which one will end out the most popular, and king of the computer games world? Its a tough question to answer, and Im sure a lot of people will have varying opinions on the subject, as I believe that computer games are a matter of opinion, people have different preferences, so here's mine: I believe that it will be close to call, and I personally like all three consoles- the PS2 was very impressive when I played the Japanese version earlier this year, and to be honest I loved the little blue light! The launch line up was a bit disappointing, but Im sure that will be improved for the European launch. The Gamecube, despite the name(nothing new from Nintendo) Nintendo reputation for making arguably the best games of all time, and I believe they will continue to do so on the Gamecube also. X-Box will at first, find it difficult to win over public support in Japan, but Microsoft's reputation of quality will ensure it does well in the western world. Overall, I think that with the consumer brand name and a year head start, I think that the PS2 should do well, but I think Gamecube and X-Box will beat it in the end because it seems that Sony are making the same mistakes with the PS2 launch that Nintendo did with the N64.
