Earlier on myself and my father were watching Olympic Grandstand (fortunately, the awful Clare Balding wasn't presenting) and the Speed Skating was taking place.

Steve Ryder: "Next up is the men's 1000m final that took place last night.

Sue Barker: "Yes, don't turn away because this has a rather unusual ending."

I turned to my Dad and said for a joke, "cool, the four leaders will all crash out leaving the guy in last who had been completely dropped off to win."

And so the race started, and with a couple of laps to go it was all quite close, although the Australian at the back of the pack was falling behind. Then the American made a great move round the outside to go into the lead, and I thought that this must be the special ending. How wrong I was.

As they came through the final corner the two at the front were pushing and shoving and it got much more exciting. Then, one of them went. All of a sudden, another went down, taking the guy behind him with him and then the guy in third. All four went flying into the side, and it looked like it would have to be ran again. But then, around half a lap behind the Australian who wasn't even on the screen when the crash happened cruised around to take the victory! More hilarious moments were to follow as the rest of them all scrambled and crawled along to grab the other medal places!

Quote from the winner: "I looked around and thought, hang on, this can't be right, I think I've won!"

Now, either I have amazing physic powers (even though I wasn't even trying to use them,) or it was just an amazing coincidence.

Although the first would be nice, I think I'll have to settle for the latter.

But still, it was a great laugh. :D

Let's face it: speed skating is a stupid excuse for a sport.

When we were watching the olympics in 2000 my older sis said I wonder how old Sonya O Sullivan is and they immedialty said she is 31 years old.. (or sommat like that)
They were doing a profile on her after a race! Weird

Last time I had a psychic hunch I lost £190 on a game of BlackJack.

It was like, I was sitting there with my 8, my 7 and my 5 against the dealer's King of Clubs, and I just knew that he was going to turn over an Ace.

And he did.
