Just wondering if any of yall could help me find one of those download programs. I want too download a large file on my crappy 56K modem so i'm lookin for a program that saves were you where last downloading when you turn off your puter so you can go back too the same place next time you turn on your computer.

On a similar note, anyone know of any free optomisers for making the modem run at optimal speed?
ok i have tried almost all of the major download programs out there, but i have come to the conclusion that the best are either download accelerator, but it has a downfall if you get disconnected from the net it does'nt dial up again, so in my opinion the best is flashget, you can get it from www.amazesoft.com i have downloaded over 3 gig on it on a 56k modem its good.
Download Accelorator Plus, that's what I used when I had a 56k
I still use it now, even with cable, but you get the options automatically with cable
