Now is it just me or is MArch 22nd just a little too late :P ? lol Considering that Sony has so far said Xbox is no threat to them this seems a contradictory move - packaging a third party game with a console is rare, GT3 was SCEE/SCEA/SCEJ afterall.
In GT3's case that package basically helped revive the PS2 following a long line of good, but not amazing, games. Why aren't MS packaging Halo with every Xbox for 349.99 ? Because it's going to sell....and thats what the business is about :)
Packaging third-party games isn't that unusual - GT3 was *published* by Sony, but developed by Polyphony Digital - an independent third-party company.
Far from being worried, Sony are actually looking forward to the competition. It's been lonely at the top for so very long, I'm sure! :-)
