The first match was Booker T vs Spike. Test and Booker T were mocking Spike earlier on and it was so obvious what was going to happen. Spike won to the shock of Booker. The match was slow and pointless.
Next match was Regal vs Val Venis. Over in about a minute, Regal one with Brass knuckles. Walks up ramp, Edge spears him again. I know they're building up for No Way Out, but come on the same thing every week is getting boring. Val vs Regal could have been a decent match but no, we have to build the Edge-Reagal rivallry.
Then came the APA vs Chuck and Billy. Chuck and Billy posed with their Valentines presents before the APA attacked them. The APA dominate before Chuck and Billy win with the "old brick (weight) in the chocalate box routine" as Michael Cole puts it. Once again I feel cheated out of a potentially good match.
Then it was Tajiri vs Goldust. It was the only decent match, still a bit short but there were some nice moves. The RVD attack on Goldust wasn't too bad because it was quite a new rivallry and we had had a good match.
Kane vs Jericho was up next, they had had great matches in the past but from the start we knew it wouldn't be. This could have been Kanes return to the big time but it wasn't. Jericho tried to run away and then got himself disqualified before Stone Cold came in attacked him and stunned him. We knew this would happen, it was no where near a suprise. What was the point. Couldn't we have just had a decent match?
The main event was a a punishment tag match between HHH and Maven against Angle and the Undertaker. Ended with a DQ win for HHH and Maven. I remember very little of the match because it was so unoriganal. Usual cliches Triple H does facebuster onto his knee twice and attempts the Pedigree about 5 times and doesn't do it. Maven dropkicks people. Angle tries to do 3 German suplexes but HHH fights back before the 3rd. The match ended with an assault on HHH and Stephanie announcing she will be guest referee in his match. Another obvious "twist".
Overall it was the worst Smackdown in ages. Stupidly short and poor matches + too much long and boring talk + no Rock promos + no Angle promos + no proper Jericho promos + the same stuff as last week - the good bits = 2 hours of WWF.
Can't wait to Metal, the matches are bound to be better.
Tombstone onto a car my a**e!
