Hey dudes. Got a cable modem last week, and as it is set up kinda like a network for the web, with no dial up. Now every time windows starts up it keeps asking me for a frikkin network password. It doent matter whether you put a password in or not! Anyone know how to get rid of this annoying window?

Assuming you're using a Win9x/ME setup, although it's similar in 2k/XP..
-> Start
-> Settings
-> Control Panel
-> Networking
From memory, either change the "Default Windows Login" at the bottom of that dialog, or uncheck the Client for Microsoft Networks relative to the device that represents your broadband modem in the list above.
Y'should probably write down the settings on that page though -- make sure you can put it back if you break your new modem's setup there.
