GOALS:
Tottenham:
24, Ferdinand - Anderton supplied a fantastic trademark cross, and Ferdinand got his head to the ball, beating the dis-positioned Jerzy Dudek. A fine start for Spurs!
Liverpool:
27, Owen - A good ball from Barmby gave Owen a golden oppurtunity to do what he does best, and bring Liverpool back into the game.
Tottenham:
86, Rebrov - Davies picked the ball after Dudek denied Etherington. The young Welshman then fed Rebrov the ball in acres of space, as he calmly slotted the ball in from close-range. Left it late but they got it!
Summary:
Liverpool dominaterd the first half but failed to put away more than one of the many chances they'd worked so hard to earn. Golden-boy Michael Owen missed a sitter than should've put Liverpool ahead! Spurs looked shut-out, but began to shine late on after Ferdinand's goal.
No changes made by either side at half-time, but Ziege and King workedhard to support the attack, and it seemed to have a positive effect! The tables turned as Spurs looked the more dominant side, and should have quite easily put a few past the hard-working Dudek. Liverpool aslo had their moments, but Neil Sullivan showed why he's Scotland's no.1!!
MotM: Dean Richards (Tottenham)
A fine display from the new signing, showing why he was rated at nearly £10m by former club Southampton.
A call-up for England in the future maybe???
Neil Sullivan also had a superb match, denying Owen and Anelka on many occasions. But Richards won the vote.
Spurs showed that when they're down, they're certainly not out!
There is the first of hopefully many points in the bag :D

The Game:
10 minutes- Salgado runs down the line up to halfway line where he passes to The Fannieman (LOL Steve McManaman) Stev McManaman weaves in and out of players and gets a near post cross in, Munitis gets on the end of it and hits a volley as it drops down and it hits the outside of the post and goes wide!
16 Minutes - Arsenal using the wings to spread Real Madrid start a move which starts with Adams laying a simple pass to Ljungberg, Ljungberg then plays a long ball over the top of the Real defence and falls to Henry, Henry is just outside the penalty area and takes it takes it round Casillas, Casillas makes his move and moves Henry out wide and then it ends when Henry gets crowded out by defenders on the right wing.

SUBSTITUTION: Raul of for Congo
71- GOAL!! Seaman lifts the goal kick upfield and Veira heads it to Pires who runs down the line and crosses it low and Henry picks it up and drills home a hard hitting strike.
73- Real Madrid Set up a attack where Arsenal are trying to force them back, Real Madrid are justr outside the penalty area in the middle with Figo and he lifts it over the Arsenal Defense and Keown holds Morientes back, Keown gets the Red Card and awards Real Madrid a Penalty GOAL!! Figo hits home the penalty
88- GOAL!! Arsenal are struggling with 10 men and Munitis takes advantage of that, he runs down the line and crosses a high ball in, Morientes rises above Campbell to head home.

Summary:
The Possesion was equal in the first half and the first half does show that. Arsenal seem to come out with higher morale than the first half and come into the second half with at 71 minutes they was 3-1 up, but then Keown gets himself sent off by holding Morientes back stupidly and then Figo converts the penalty, Things was then hard for Arsenal and then they let in a late 88th minute goal letting Real Madrid get some points too.

84 mins Vassell’s shot is beaten away after panic in the Wolves’ defence
90 mins A goal mouth scramble in the Villa area is eventually cleared by Melberg
REPORT:
In a game dominated by the home team, Villa were rather lucky to get a win here. If it hadn’t been for the goal keeping blunder in the 9th minute, Wolves would certainly have gotten a point, and probably deserved the 3 (12?) points! Branch should really have put at least one chance away.
Man of the Match: Close, but I think Melberg just pinches it ahead of Angel
