I have created an account and web address but my username and password are not accepted. I have tried using an ftp client, my web design software and web browsers (with my firewall disabled) and I just cannot log on.

You need to be connected via a Freeola ADSL or Dialup connection unless you have 'web freedom' or a VIP hosted domain.
