It was the first film to have a toilet shown and flushed in it.
The noise of the knife slicing up the actress was actually a knife going into a cabasa melon.
Since Hitchcock thought that the stage blood looked un-realistic in the shower scene in black and white, he used......chocolate syrup.
Hitchcock received a very angry letter from a man whose daughter refused to shower after seeing Psycho. Since he had already over looked the possibility of baths, Hitchcock sent him a letter back simply saying: "Send her to the dry-cleaners".
The Exorcist:
When it was made, the writers were originally going for a G (American equivelant of a PG) rated film. (For any one that doesn't know, this is very ironic because it ended up being so explicit that it's been banned in several countries, and cannot be shown on T.V. anywhere in the World!).
Everybody thought that the green puke was squirted out of a device in Regan's throat, but because the director thought it looked un-realistic, the puke was really animated in. But however, to please the designer or the puke-firing mechanism, the device was used to make the puke ooze out from under the preist's collar.
Mercedas MacCambridge who did the demonic voice for Regan, sued Warner Bros. for £250,000(A quarter of a million) just because her name wasn't in the credits. And she got it!!!
The film itself is said to be possessed because 9 people died during the making of it.
The real reason that the Spider-Walk scene was edited out of the original film was because they forgot to shoot a reaction from the 2 people watching as Regan came down the stairs, and they couldn't do another shot because the contortionist who did the act injured her back the first time!!!
That's all I can think of right now. Any one else got any?
In the shwoer scene in Psycho, the hand shown to be stabbing isn't Anthony Perkins's hand it's Hitchcocks.
The Birds:
Alfred Hitchcock tied up his female star during the production and let crows loose in the room. Just so she could feel what it would be like to be attacked by birds.
:)If it helps the performance....
Halloween:
The Californian mountains and palm trees are clearly visable in the backlground of some of the street sequences.
The cars all have Californian number plates.
The leaves on the floor were picked up after each take and laid down somewhere else, becuase the crew had to hand paint each one, hence they were not willing to do thousands.
