The gaming industry just dont get it do they! Theyre allways going on about video game piracy and new ways to stop it but they never work. Who in the right mind is going to spend in excess of £40 for a new game when itll cost em a fiver down the market!

But, THERE IS A SOLUTION!!!!!

If, when a new game is released it cost £10, there would be no need to buy coppied games. Think how much money the games industry would make. There sales would hit the skys. Brand spanking new games for a tenner! You gotta be joking.

Now, some of you may be thinking that the games cost lots of money to make BULLS**T! Playstation games cots, what, 65p to make!!!!

Just think they would loose alot of money for the first few months, but after that think how many people would buy games for a tenner! Pirate games would become non existant. No one would buy them any more.

If anyone else sees it this way reply to this message to show your support!

To the gaming industry out there YOU KNOW THE ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know the development costs a hell of a lot of money, but the games industry would still make there money back even if the cut their profit by around £20!

And before anyone says it, that 5 pounds 61 pence is BEFORE they've even started to market the game, so add a couple of quid for that, then distributer markups, carriage, shipping, end retailer markups, it all adds up. And think of the risk of all that investment if the game had been a flop. This surely is a convincing argument.

In fact, while we are at it let's do the math:

3,000,000,000 yen divided by 3,550,000 games is about 845 yen per game.

There are 150.6842 yen to the British pound at the close of trading today.

So each game cost 845.0704225 divided by 150.6842 pounds,
or 5 pounds and 61 pence to the nearest penny (ignoring inflationery effects here.) That is before a single game is even sold.

Piracy could cripple the gaming industry and put thousands of jobs at risk if it is allowed to continue, let alone affect the quality of future games. Piracy is theft, theft is bad, it must stop.

This is pasted straight from the official Sony Playstation site:

How many people have worked on FFVIII? Is it the same team as FFVII?
About 180 people worked on FFVIII. The majority of the team was the same though there were some new additions.

How much did it cost to make?
About 3 billion Yen.

How many have been sold in Japan?
3.55 million copies by end of July 1999.

Does that look like 65p to you?
