There should be more of these...

I mean, with all the modern graphical wizardry we should be able to re-create water in a videogame... and I don't mean any of that second rate crap used in Splashdown and Wave Race: BS - I mean PROPER, REALISTIC water effects... you only have to look at the sea to know it's not the lush haven of animal life and corals that it's claimed to be - maybe in The Carribean, but not here!

If you actually think about it, there is a lot water can bring to a game... racing for one:

This can be anything from Powerboats, to pedal floats. But then again, there is:

Fishing... granted, it's boring as hell, but if they were to make a cooler fishing game, like 'Jet Set Fishing', it could very well take off!

What about a game where you have to breed fish... maybe as a mini-game in a big game, but it could be fun - especially seeing as the Sonic 'Chao' idea really made some ground!

But what I REALLY want, is an underwater game, where you swinm with the dolphins... I mean, it could be good... a w hole ocean to explore! You'd encounter sharks, whales, murky, clean and still waters; and then maybe some storms and even pass a few boats on the way!

You may call it stupid, you may call it daft, but i'd rather have it over another sequel! Innovation is the key to the future of gaming, and whoever brings innovation to the gamers will surely succeed!

And how do you innovate?

By making underwater games... okay, maybe a hiking game, a pogo stick game, a cooking game... either way, it'll be good.

Still, underwater games are best.

I agree that it is possible to create fantastic-looking underwater games, and they'd probably look brilliant on the X-box. I don't know why we don't see more?? Maybe cuz some people (like myself) find them harder and don't enjoy them as much. But a challenge is always good in games, as it makes them last longer! More underwater games mean more variety, and that could help a console sell better!

Activision had a game called "Diver" which was exactly what you were describing on the PSone, but it never materialised over here.

Shame really.

Is this one of those 'flashes of inspiration' we recieve late at night?

A pen and pad lie beside the bed. You are in bed, asleep. Slowly, you stir. Half dreaming, a fantastic money making idea hits you. Frantically, you scribble it down as fast as you can, so you don't forget it like you did all your other brilliant ideas.

The next morning you wake up. You don't remember your idea, but you remember it was sheer genius. You reach for the pad, to see what it was...
