In case you didn't already know the Winter Olympics are taking place this month. TV coverage on BBC is very sparse, only Eurosport viewers are really getting a chance to watch it.

Personally I find the Winter Games more entertaining than the Summer games. Generally the events are faster and more exciting. For direct comaprisions, compare running to speed skating, football to ice-hockey and skiing to cycling.
Despite this the Winter Games are largely ignored and is overshadowed by the football world cup in the same year.

Winter sports in general receive very little attention as they occur at the same time as the football and rugby seasons which always take priority.

Why is it that the Winter Games receive so little attention?

Additionally what is your favourite Winter Olympic sport.
Mine is ice-hockey?

I don't think there was really that much more coverage during the 'main' olympics. Though it might have just been because i didn't pay that much attention to it.

Winter sports, we don't really play too many of them here, generally. Not too much opportunity. Still, i'm all for giving minority sports a chance to grow. So long as i don't have to watch the curling : P

Probably the speedskating.

Winter Olympics are cool, shame at the lack of home interests though, we're pretty hopeless at most of the winter sports.

BBC has quite a lot of coverage, about 4-6 hours everyday. Only problem is that it's on in the night, usually after midnight.

And Clare Balding and that bloke on the late night program are just terrible...I cringe watching their supposed 'comedy'.

In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.
Continue this excellent work...
Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do, I am delighted.
