Full story:
Coming soon from LucasCrap, another game to milk the Star Wars licence, Star Wars Boxing!
Take to the ring with many characters from the original trilogy, in boxing rings set all around the Star Wars universe.
Each character has their own special move, a knockout blow that can leave you on the mat, so a combination of blocking and dodging will have to be used as well as jabs, straights, hooks and uppercuts to try to give your opponent a real beating.
Character Profiles:
Luke Skywalker
Physically not the strongest character, he is fast, and his special move, whipping out his light sabre for a slash at an opponent can be incredibly effective.
Han Solo
Han is a tough character, and will take a lot of blows before he goes down. His special move is also among the strongest, he'll whip out his blaster and fire a shot into his opponents chest!
Chewbacca
Chewie is a very strong character, but has a weak chin, and will go down with just a few hits to it. His special move, the Wookie Roar, can stun opponents.
Obi Wan Kenobi
Knock him down, and he'll come back more powerful than you can ever imagine, and his special move, an old Jedi mind trick, can talk opponents into lowering their guard long enough to land a super punch to the chin - if they have a chin!
Yoda
A Jedi Master, he may look feeble, but when he's in the ring impressed you will be. Sticking by his belief that the force should only be used when entirely necessary, and in boxing matches, Yoda's incredible agility makes him a hard target to hit, and he'll force opponents to hit themselves with the power of the force. "Punch yourself in the face you will!"
Darth Vader
Being more machine than man, Vader is strong, however, he does have his weak spots, and if his helmet comes off, he'll be in trouble. His special move is a force choke that lifts opponents from their feet, and strangles them for a moment.
Emperor Palpatine
He may look a weak old man, but his constant use of force lightning will cause him to be more of a problem to beat.
Jabba The Hutt
He only has a small reach, and he can move far, but he has one of the best special moves in the game, the tail flip will knock opponents to the ground.
Boba Fett
His thick armour is a strong defence against a flurry of furious fists, but reaction times can be a little slow. His special move uses his jet pack to launch into a two fisted power-punch to the gut.
As well as these 9 fighters, a number of others can be unlocked, including Lando Calrissian, R2-D2, Hoth Wampa, the Rancor Monster, Greedo and many more.
C3PO also features in the game, as the referee, and Princess Leia parades around the ring in her gold bikini between rounds, holding up the round number card.
Locations in the game include the Tatooine desert, the Mos Eisley Cantina, Jabba's Palace, the Death Star, on the Millenium Falcon, on Endor, on Hoth and a number of others are unlockable too!
Look out for Star Wars Boxing in shops before Christmas. Ignore the dodgy play mechanics, and awful collision detection, just buy it, it's Star Wars, look, all the characters are on the front in boxing gloves, oh yes, Star Wars Boxing, buy it now!
And the line 'Strong the dark side is. But stronger is my opponent, Mr. Slugfest'
GEDDIT?!
HAHAHAH!
*runs away madly*
Grrr.
