"Praise Satan"
"Excuse me?"
"We...ah...we thought it would be a nice gift to the Europeans if we let it out early with minimal publicity"
"Really? Nothing to do with the Gamecube being released in May?"
"...it's out now, go buy one"
"Do you think people are resistant to the idea of Microsoft elbowing their way into the console market?"
"Not at all, after all, PCs are wonderful and windows is the daddy."
"So when will Xbox 2002 be released?"
"Sorry?"
........
I'm sorry, this is crap. I started to write but I'm tired and can't find the words to finish this thing, humour deserts me at 1am in the morning, it's hard to be inane 24/7 you know.
So I'm going to ramble and see what falls out.
I posted a thing today about Milosevic's trial starting in The Hague, and about 4 replied, yet loads of people replied to a topic about a footballer.
I find this worrying and a little depressing to be honest, someone actually asked "What did he do?", and they were serious.
You (people in general) can't be that stupid can you?
Please tell me no, please tell me that it's a huge joke being played on me that 1/2 of the UK stayed in and watched Pop Idol, it's been on the front page of tabloids since Saturday but what is being described as the "most important war-crimes trial since Hitler" hasn't mentioned anything but a small byline in 2 papers today.
People go on about Osama Bin Laden, and all he did was engineer a plane crash that cost 2,500 lives.
I'm not belittiling that because it was a tragedy.
But Milosevic is responsible for the slaughter of almost half a million non-ethnic Serbs.
Death camps on the scale of Auschwitz and Belsen have been discovered, and nobody knows or remembers what he did?
Unbelievable.
This isn't a dig at anyone here, just an honest disbelief that people can be so bovine as to care about a rigged tv-show to find yet another dancing bear for pre-teen kids to buy their records, yet the start of the trial of a man on a level with Stalin goes un-noticed.
*shakes head*
Same with the Enron scandal, only the broadsheets have covered one of the most serious corporate swindles of history, yet there's nobody talking about in anywhere around me.
People at work are all talking about "Gareth should have won" and I want to shake them and ask if they're retarded.
I'm going to bed, my eyes are burning, I'll finish the dumb jokey post tomorrow.
However...
I don't think Hitler was tried for war crimes, didn't he just kill himself? Or maybe I'm missing the joke here. Bah, it's too late to think. I hate dentists.
MAybe everyone doesnt feel as passionate about certain things. This Milosevic geezer, heard the name but dont know what exactly he done. Its an important thing though, that i know. But my Little voice aint gonna change anything.
