The first system I ever played was my old commodore 64 back in the good old days that it was almost impossible to complete Tresure Island...
After that came the Atari 2600 and I built up a collection of about 20 games for that.
Then game the Nintendo, the master System, the megadrive and SNES, the playstation, N64 and Saturn, each of them I bought about 20 games or over for, no question about it, I bought almost everygame that I possibly could, washing cars etc...
The thing that has annoyed me most is the fact that gamers can not appreciate games on other consoles apart from the ones that they own.. I remember the rivalry between the Saturn and Playstation, and between the N64 and now Im starting to experience it with my new PS2 and the forthcoming Xbox and GameCube...
Why cant everyone try and be unbiased and, if you have the money, get the best out of all of it, and if you dont, try and take in to account other peoples opinions and form an unbiased one of your own instead of constantly slagging...
And I don't think we'll ever find that all these biased comments will die down, maybe a bit when we all have and are enjoying the consoles we want?
I prefer more of the games coming out on the GameCube to either of the other 2 consoles. I also like the pad, and enjoyed the N64, so i'll expect something similar. And i'm also choosing the GC as I am a big Nintendo fan, and a ninty console will ALWAYS be my first choice!
But on the PS2, the likes of GTA3, Tekken 4, and several others interest me, and you never know, I may want one for x-mas! But dis-like the controllers, as I find it hard to use 2 analogue sticks. It's ok apart from that. It's also quite tempting as it plays DVD's and the price is quite cheap.
As for the X-box, there are slightly less games that appeal to me, but games like Wreckless, Buffy and possibly Halo, interest me on that format. But i've heard it's quite big and is expensive, and i've also heard the pad's too big. So I won't immediatly be getting that, if ever.
i can look at all the consoles objectvely and realise teh x-box per say is the most powerful but my own opinion of the situation is that i like the gamecube best because i think it has teh most to offer.
p/s i have yet to see an x-box game that looks as good as a gamecube game..
p/s/s i have yet to see halo and doa3 though :)
