And it is superb. Probably the best way to describe it somewhere between Faith No More, and Mr. Bungle. Out of all the things he has worked on outside of FNM, it is definitely the closest to his former band. But there is a much more film soundtrack edge to it.
It's hard to pick out high points so early, though 'Point and Click' is one of the best songs he has sung on. Magnificent.
If you like FNM/Patton and haven't heard it, check it out. Makes most other music seem very mundane.
I'll email it to you if you have broadband connection?
Bleeders - I bought the first Fantomas album, and found it hard to get into - too all over the place. I know that's the intention behind it, but it's certainly not easy listening. Though I've heard the second album is different. Do you have them both, and how do they compare?
Another Patton track to look out for is The Bends on the second Mr Bungle album. Nothing at all to do with Radiohead, and everything to do about diving! If you listen to it on headphones, it's incredibly eerie.
Plus the first Mr. Bungle album has some great funny moments. Who could forget the line....
'Squeeze me macaroni, wrap your mouth around my baloney'.
:-)
Cheers for the recommendation.
My favs:
Burning Alive
Cul-De-Sac
Got Hates a Coward
This sounds like where FNM would be if they carried on today.
Excellent, and so much better than Fantomas.
Cul De Sac sounds so much like Tom Waits it's not funny.
