Virgin are rolling out 20Mb broadband all over the country. Your existing modem (mine was a Motorola 4100) might not be compatible with the new speed, so head over to:

to see if you need a new modem, they'll send one out to you for free if you do (or change you £25 if you want an engineer to arrive with it to install it).
Reason I'm mentioning it is apparently they've already upgraded the Bristol area to 20Mb which explains why my surfing experience turned to wading through mud recently with regular connection losses. Took me two calls to VirginMedia reps to resolve the issue (my modem can't cope with 20Mb), hopefully the new modem will arrive within the next 14 days.
