A company in Japan has now realesed a coloured screen with a high resolution that fits on the top of the Gamecube and a battery pack that powers the cube and the screen.

Want it? Saw it at www.lik-sang.com

or even better , you could get a smallish tv , shouldn't cost more £60 , then get a phone charger , cheap one for about £3 cut the cigarette adaptor bit off , then cut the plug off of the tv , attach the adaptor bit to the end of the wire where the plug used to be, then just plug it into the car , plug the gamecube into the tv and yuor away .... or are you ???

what about the gamecube you say , how will that be powered ? well simple , either buy a new adaptor for the gamecube and do the same as with the tv, or just buy an adaptor for the gamecube screen that you were going to buy , and plug that into the cigarette lighter and thats done aswell.

But i only have one cigarette lighter !

Well if you have a fairly new car , there should be an extra cig lighter in the back of the car , or if not , get your mum or dad , even you if yuor old enough to buy a ford galaxy , because they definatley have an extra one in the back , i cant remember (i cant check either as i cant be bothered to go outside) if there are 2 cig lighter holes in the back or just one , if not , put the GC in the middle of the car and stretch the wire as far as possible.

If that all sounds too complicated , just buy one , simple and easy , and guaranteed to work. It may be £99 , but i'd rather pay that than to have the hassle of what i said above , and just think , the psone screens dropped to £80 , after a few months so just wait till then to buy one.

i did tis with my N64 ....

i got an extension lead , took my tele outside , put it on a table and had a 2 player co-op game of jet force gemini with my bro. Heaven ???

not really , you could see bug.ger all because the sun was on the screen so i made a small tent for it which made it better but wasn't really worth the hassel , so a small screen on top would be perfect.

also you have to think about how hot it's gonna get , and if the screen will get damaged with the sun on it so much , i get worried about my GBA when i play it in the sun , it gets SOOOOOOOO hot !

Seems like a nice idea... or a reworking of a nice idea : )
Middleground between the portability of gba and the quality of the cube. And you don't have to buy one.

Not for me, if i were to want something at all portable, i'd just go for a gba. The price does seem very steep too.

I think it's more designed for things like long car journeys and outdoor trips things like that really. Everyone hates being stuck in the car with nothing to do while being on that looooooooooong trip to see relatives. No need to be bored anymore though with the your gamecube and to play. Plus it runs off the cigarette lighter in the car and comes with that included, which is cool. Also ive seen you can get a rechargable battery pack for it so you can sit and play you gamecube in your garden in the summer now. Imagine just siting in the garden playing waverace whilst getting a nice suntan, ah heaven.
