Welcome, my name is Pro Evo and this is my new series Close up. This will be the first episode of what will have many more to come. The Idea, I spend a few days with some of the greatest characters from your console. Here you will see what it is really like to be in the gaming spot light.
*All of the following is based from the writers imagination and should not be taken for what its worth*

Life started for mister Solid Snake, whose real name is David back, back in 1985 on the Nes. Starring in his first computer game ever, 'metal Gear' his life would never be the same again. Snake was part of a special ops squad and their mission was to find and destroy the machine that was the Metal Gear Rex.

Snake "My first game was a great experience for me, not only was I given a body made of a few polygons but I finally got to be seen in the public eye, hell, I even got to kill small sprites and the kids loved me for it!"

Metal gear was a great success and not only brought Snake in to the stardom that he wanted, but brought Konami lots of money in too. So successful was the game that konami gave him another go to save the world in 'Metal Gear 2'. Again this was a great success and the mission was completed successfully seeing the final confrontation with Big Boss and Red Fox.

Snake “ I loved making this game more than the other one, not only was my body upgraded even more, but the plot, enemies and graphics were all upgraded to make the best title out on the Nes at that time. Not only that I got to save the world again and even kill off my enemies and Rex, only trouble was that the game could go no further and I was sacked”

And that was the sad truth for Snake, in 1990 konami felt that the series had ran its road and could go no further, they felt the story had done and Snakes career in the Special Forces was finished. However, he was not the type of person to give up, he moved to Alaska and lived there by himself with his huskies dogs, training them up and keeping himself busy knowing that one day the world would need him again.

Snake “It was a hard time for me, I had spent all my cash from the games on new special clothing that keeps you warm in the cold conditions, and really shows of your muscles too! So I decided the best thing to do was move out of the way to Alaska, after all, I was a wanted man by bad people. I took up my hobby of working with Dogs and trained them up, then ran them in the annual race every year. I was so damn good with it!

Little did he know his luck would change.

After ten years in the cold conditions konami pulled the Metal Gear idea out of the bin and started a new project on the smash hit that was ‘Metal Gear Solid’.

Snake “ I couldn’t believe it when they asked me to come back, I was over joyed and instantly said yes, id had enough of eating fish!

But things for snake were not at all easy. Things had advanced a lot while he had been out, and computer game heroes needed more skills than what the Nes needed of him.

Snake “ Oh yeah, that was hell, I had to train for over a year before they would even start work on the game. First of all my whole body had a re-make. For once I had a fully working body with loads of polygons and pixels, I felt like a new man! But it took some use getting to move properly. But the weapons they let me toy with more than made up for that! I had loads and all the ammo I wanted, not to mention all the soldiers to kill. The worse thing was though is that I had to learn the art of stealth, I couldn’t see the point though, it was boring! Who wants to see me sneaking around an island when I could cause mayhem, and that’s what I did on set! My favourite part of the game though was being able to snap their necks, the soldiers I mean…. I take no responsibility for the guy in the cell!

But the game brought Snake two things he had never had before, friends. During the adventure he was able to team up with Meryl and Ocaton (Hal). And these people would prove dear to Snake too.

Snake “What a pain they were to work with too!!”

Err…thanks Snake, anyway, Meryl proved to be the love of Snake life and after the game they got together, but it did not last long as he found that her and Hal had an affair.

Snake “ I could have snapped their necks! I was going to until I was told that there were plans for a new Metal Gear on the PS2, and I needed the money!”

And that where snake is now, after this scripted was written Snake Began on his new game and was unable to comment on what was to come.

Anyway, thank you for joining us on what was, im sure a great experience for you, join me next time when I will be speaking with another great character and prying into there little sprite lives.

Well to be honest with you, in order to get some effect you should have researched the games more and actually put some background info such as more info on the story lines and stuff like that.

I really do suggest you do that in your next CLOSE UP
