Anyone know anything about the back light for the GBA. And is the official GBA with the installed back light coming out for release in the future? Do special reserve do back light GBA's

It was like opening a box of light on the plane.

Yep, they are in NGC. Very good quality indeed, I played Golden Sun on the plane, in pitch black, and it lit up the ceiling with about a 5 meter radius from where I was sitting, BRIGHT! Having said that, the games aren't ruined by the brightness, they still look the same as they did beforehand. I think I have a link to my old forums, where loads of questions were asked.
