My brother just showed me an essay he had to do for History, and he had to write an artical for a German newspaper, saying that they deserve respect. We are British, why need we masquerade as German's for a measly History lesson? We are British, we should learn about British affairs. Here's what he wrote:

We Want Our Place In The Sun
by James Doughty

Who do the other countries think they're better than us? Read on to find out more...

Why do the other countries think they're better than us? Is it because we speak differently to them? Is it that we're not in the "loop" and not in arms with them? Is it because we are more civilized and don't waste out time like the Britons do? We are far superior, and yet we are still denied our time to shine, we are still denied our time in the sun. We deserve our time in the sun, and we deserve the spot light. They say you have to earn respect, and we have done that many times over, but still nothing. If we don't get respect soon, then we may have to take it, take it by force, because there is no other solution. This is Tom Doughty signing off. Keep up the fight!

Why in the blue hell do students have to do this? Reading that is the low point of my day.

Hm, I suppose, but I'm sure that my brother isn't interested in what the German's do.

They've finally started including other nation's history in

I suppose its right (finally), but I just find it a bit stupid, because I find it somewhat irrelevant. I got a GCSE in History, but I've forgotten it all now :)

Have you never done History before?

Yes, indeed, but t'was many, many years ago.
