ill first start with my 5.1 issue.
i brought the yamaha tss-1 5.1 speaker system, which came with 1m of fibre optical wire. how do i connect it up to my xbox, wat connecter do i need to get??? is it the advanced AV pack???

Also my other issue, is to do with the whole issue ofb modems and XBL, i am getting ZenADSL, and it suggests the alcatel Speedtouch 510 but that £150, but i saw a alcatel speedtouch 530 which says it compatiable with btopenworld, at http://www.lineonly.com/xbox/,would it be compataible with ZenADSL???? it would rather have this one cus tis cheaper and better!

Thanks for the help!!!

I have the exact same 5.1 surroun sound system for my Xbox and you need the RGB advanced scart cable with optical input connect to the scart. Then using the optical input cable provided with the system you connect the two up. I am taking it that with our systems being the same that your system supports DTS as well? Before playing games you have to go into the Audio options on the Xbox interface and select DTS and Dolby Digital, you should then be ready to go!

Yes. You either need the Microsoft Advanced cable, or the Joytech (cheaper) advanced cable shown here:

I'm not sure about makes and models. You just need either a good router (http://www.adslguide.org.uk/ might be able to help you), a USB modem attatched to a PC with a NIC and cable to link to your PC, or a modem with an ethernet socket built in. The cheapest option would probably be the PC with NIC (network interface card), however it would mean your PC would have to be turned on when you want to play on LIVE.

Errrrr...

In all honesty, these questions are waaaaayyyyyyyy beyond most people's techie knowledge - the quickest way to get an answer is to ring the makers of these devices.
