I saw the x-box for the first time today. I saw that snowboarding game and i thought it was ok but nothing special. I though the x-box was going to be more graphically advanced than the PS2 but it looked just the same as the SSX games. Maybe slightly worse! anyone agree?

Graphics, in my view, don't make the game but they help. So due to the fact that the Xbox is too big for me to keep anywhere and the pad to big for my hands, graphcs maybe better but PS2 has better games, MGS2 and FF10 on there way.

So it all comes down to which has the best games, graphics aside.

Thing is though, most games on all three consoles are just direct ports of each other so they are gonna look the same really.

Tony Hawks 3 and SSX tricky on the Gamecube and X-box look exactly the same as the PS2 version.

We will have to see the same game on all three consoles when they are all established. I'm a PS2 owner through and through but i still reckon if Microsoft can keep it going the X-box will turn out on top

You will never be able to truly rate them against each other till you see them running side by side.

I'm sure X-box will be pushing out games looking much better 6 months down the line.

But at this stage the graphical difference between the consoles is very small. Even the dreamcast can still match the PS2 in some areas. And has anyone seen the vids of the Resident evil game on GC? It looks good as, if not better, than anything on the PS2.

I agree but SSX was released when the PS2 was released and the graphics are the same as that snow boarding one on the X-Box. So you can make that comparison

Ok, look at this view, go back to when the PS2 was being launch and remember all the sega fans saying that 'some of the games look ok, i thought it would be more graphically advanced, MSR looks better than that SSX'. Now look at the PS2, a year on and the graphics and games have improved so much as developers really get to grips with the PS2. All i can imagine is that the X-box will too improve over time.

Now in my opinion, the X-box has nothing to offer me, i choose the PS2 because it has the games that i like and im sticking by it. But you cant really jugde the two together as the PS2 has been out a year longer.

But i have to say that if the only thing that the X-box will have over the PS2 are the graphics, ill pass on it thanks.
