Today i recieved my action replay V2 for my playstaion 2. I followed all the instructions for use but when i put the PS2 disk in it said please insert a playstaion on playstation 2 format disk. I was so confused and i got even more confused when i tried the free PSX cheats disk that comes with it and it worked. So i was wondering if any of you have encountered this problem before or if any of you know how to solve it. I will also be posting this message in the customers service forum but i decided to post it here aswell beacuse the staff may not be interested in my problem since i got the product from PLAY.COM. Any help will be greatly appreciated, Thank you.
I did what FFF said and it worked after the first 2 or 3 times. Thank you for the help.

There was a problem a while ago with older Action Replay 2 copies not working with newer PS2s.
Do you know how up to date your AR2 is? What model PS2 do you have? Have you tried contacting Datel?

That happens when you start the PS2 up, then swap the AR CD into it.Put the disc in, then restart the console and it should work properly.
It happens to me sometimes. Just reset it after you put the disc in.

Ive had a few problems with those AR V2's too. The first one I bought would'nt load at all, so I took it back and got another one. When I tried that it worked fine, but 2 months down the road, it did the same thing as the first one.
Unfortunatly I dont know how to help you with your problem, but i think you would be best getting a refund and looking for something else.
