I rather, worryingly I suppose see everything changing. Couple of years ago, the internet. “What?” Yes, was not heard of. Now it seams the youngsters cannot live without this tool. Mildly hooked they think, ‘till they try get away. Only to find they’re hooked on something. Which cannot be at all good for your eyes.
Now I see consoles, completely devastating telly. Children are no longer stuck in front of the telly, they are all stuck in front of a console, and a telly. This too is the process of evolving. Ok, things are bound to change, its obvious. Or we’d still be using square wheels.
Mobile phones no longer weigh 10kg’s and require you to carry a massive battery pack. They are getting so small nowerdays. Somewhat frighteningly small. Like, credit card size. Seams to me they are encouraging you to lose your phone. Clever marketing there.
I see phones, with games, colour games, and with internet?
How long is it before you will be able to download films onto your mobile, hook it up to a projector and there you go, a mobile film..
Consoles now having internet access, hard drives. Almost becoming mini-pc’s? (Shuttles :o) )
If you begin to take everything into concept, you’ll soon see that new gadgets are a bit of everything. However some are not doing as well as others.
How about this for an idea?
Companies decide to take the most specialist, scientific, amazing tech people ever. Put them all into one room (Or two..) and let them decide a new type of gadget. Like an all in one type of thing. Phone/Internet/Gaming.
All in a manageable size. With leads to hook it up to a projector, control pads and the lot.
Ok, this may seam a bit far fetched, but flying seamed impossible in the 1800’s.. Now we travel by plane as and don’t think anything of it. Plane to New York, plane to Australia. Doesn’t matter does it.
How long is it until things start moulding into one?
Then everything would be the same..
Could work, but people still like specificity.
But how practical would an all in one thing be? Very. Phone for a pizza on it, order some clothes, watch a bit of Eastenders then find a public projector, e-mail a few mates telling them to come and play an internet multiplayer game of cs0r (Bound to still be there :oP ) and your sorted.
Practical? Revolution..
