Just thought I'd quote you. You'll be stuck with your N64, what have you got to look forward to? Nothing! You'll have to play Banjo Tooie, Dinasour Planet, Conker's Bad Fur Day. Zelda Mask of Majula will also be available. I'll be laughing at you when playing quality Playstation2 titles like Donald Duck: Quack Attack, Army Men: Sarges Heroes 2, Army Men: Air Attack 2, Army Men Operation Meltdown 2, and original never seen before titles like Theme Park: Rollercoaster......

I prescribe myself more thinking before replying, and less cynacism.
The case for the defence goes something like this:
1. All the Nintendo titles you mention are scheduled for release before Christmas I belive, although DP might not be finalised yet. This leaves plenty of time for more releases, wouldn't you agree? What about TWINE, and Sin and Punishment?
The PS2 games you mention are interesting too. A Donald Duck game and three Army Men titles sound distinctly average compared to the sequel to what is considered by many to be one of the all time greats (Zelda), and on a personal note I'd choose any of the Nintendo games over any of those you'd mention, regardless of what system they were for ("PERSONAL" = my view only, before anyone seizes on this as grounds for more slander.) Of course, things might be different if I had a fetish for men in uniform (or more correctly small plastic men in uniform)
2. My income and appetite for games mean that I generally only buy about 6 games a year max anyway, so the titles I mentioned above will probably see me through to the latter stages of next year. So the case will not be me hanging around with bunches of cash and no games to throw it at.
3. The point of the post that you quote me from was not that theGamecube will be uncategorically better than PS2. I was replying to someone who admitted to thinking that the Gamecube would be the best, but that he would might buy a PS2 rather than wait - my point was that the release date should be very low down on any list of priorities. I don't adhere to the school of thought that one of the next gens will be better than the rest in all aspects - Gamecube will (probably) be my choice bacause on balance I think it will be the best choice FOR ME. I don't doubt that the PS2 will have some games that are better than N64 games, and Gamecube games too. But every console has good and bad games, just like every console has strengths and weaknesses. One of the big downsides of PS2 for me is that I don't want to pay a large sum of money for a console to play games on and have some of that money go towards DVD capability, I'd rather keep the two separate.
Anyway,I could rant on but I'm probably boring everone by now. I hope laughing at me enhances your enjoyment of your PS2, but I'm tempted to think that if you are sitting around playing PS2 and laughing manically you are more likely to get commited to an institution where you may never see so much as a Spectrum again....
