The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
You find the occassional idiot, but then, you will whereever you go. Also, you find that about 90% of posts are no longer worth reading and as a result I don't really enjoy coming here much anymore. I'm expecting all the "Then don't bother coming" replies, because that is what you come to expect now.
Consoles, have never really interested me, but, when you have a forum which is supposed to be related to gaming, and find about 95% of posts nothing to do with it, you have to wonder. I want to know what happened to the regulars who came on, wrote things of interest and made the place worth visiting. I want to know, what happened to those memorable posts. I want to know, where has everyone gone and have they all followed the same route in which I'm taken?
I understand the place. I know when people are being funny and down right taken the mick and when others are trying to win something. I've got everyone worth knowing on my MSN contact list and speak to day in and day out, and some people perhaps even like me.
Sounds petty, I know. Most things are petty. From the simple argument to the pub brawls. Most don't really have a meaning and is just a result of people having different opinions. This is my opinion.

Prime is a good place to post it but it isn't as lively as other places and sometimes you can wait ages for a reply. I like posting there though.
I sometimes go on Ninty, Sony and WWF as well, and you'll find for those that don't know where I post, that along with Prime I post there.
But I do agree that most of the Forums aren't based on gaming.
Doesn't seem to bother me as much though as it seems to do with you.
;-)
But seriously, I know what you mean. When you first come here, you'll read a post, and often be very opionated on it, and post about it. But once you've heard the argument before, and posted your views, you don't really want to do it again.
I find things in the Life forum pretty interesting sometimes, especially when there was the 'God/Science' debate. The music forum can also be interesting sometimes. I'm not sure I visit the FOG too much though, and the N64 forum, still my home of sorts on here isn't all that lively. Maybe it'll pick up when GC launchs.
I suppose if you start a good topic, you have something decent to write about and discuss (assuming you get replies). But I think a lot can be put down to chance. You can't read every topic, and unless the title is something to immediatly interest you, you may not bother to read it. And the ones that you may not bother to read usually could be one that would really interest you. Chance, luck, fate... whatever...
