I can't think of many things better than music. It is the universal language.

Now while you might say how TV has music in it, it doesn't however let you imagine your own worlds and put the pictures you want to the music.

Music plays on your heart, not so much on your mind.

Music is also an art form, believe it or not! Yes, Limp Bizkit are artists... maybe Abstract Artists (:)) But regardless, music IS an art!

Music in games may not be so great, but it still plays a major role in the game. The mood, key, genre and tempo of the music, especially in deeply atmospheric games, can really pull something off - something that might not have been achieved if the music wasn't right.

I also don't think there's anything that can drive so much emotion from people. There's all sorts of music ranging from Acid Jazz to Hip-Hop and Funk to Rock, each with a task - to make people react. Thank God we're blessed with hearing! (Although there are times when we might wish we were slightly deaf - Spice *cough* Girls *cough* Steps!)

But going back to music as an art form, it lets people show their emotions.... I mean, I can't draw... I can't ever draw round my own hand without messing it up... but I know which chords sound good in the Key of E when playing Blues Piano! I can't paint, but I know a good song when I hear it, and I can tell if a guitar is in tune!

If you take the time to think about it, music, something we've taken for granted all our lives, is the key to many emotions, and the way to quite a few peoples hearts. It might not be as essential to life as The Sun, Water or Football, but it's one of the coolest things in the world!

Music, in general, rules!

I too have only discovered music fairly recently...or good music, as my CD collection proves. I had a lot of old poppy stuff that I liked at the time, and was fun to listen to then, but now I can't stand it...there's just nothing in it, it's empty.

Lately I've tried a lots of new genres thanks to MP3s, and I can't bare to be in silence - I always have something on in the background, either just an accompaniment to whatever I happen to be doing, or like now, where I'm just listening to it. Not doing anything else, playing anything, talking to anyone, typing anything, just listening. It's only in doing this that I've found the depth and variety that there is, there's always some piece to express my feelings at the time - right now I'm going through a lot of accoustic stuff, relaxing.

I'm very impressed by musicians generally, lyricists, composers, how much they can put across in a single piece of music, I couldn't even begin to. I play some classical guitar stuff, also good for just relaxing a bit, but it's fairly basic..even so, there's always something about it, just makes everything calmer somehow, makes me more level headed. Does that even make sense? Think I'm heading towards rambling..

Anyway, why am I even in this forum, I never have anything to say here..or if I do, I can't express it. I'll scurry away again..

Music is a reasonably new thing for me. When I was four or five, I used to like the occasional song, such as Two Tribes by Franky Goes To Hollywood and a few others, but I used to detest a lot of it, right up to the age of about 12, when I downloaded a video from the internet and it had Forgot About Dre by Eminem as the backing and I lapped it up. I then got a large knowledge of music and got really into rock. Soon I discovered Manics and Radiohead and by the age of 14, I was a music fanatic, knowing more about music than most people around me did, who had been into music for far longer than I have.

Music is probably the best thing in the world, and I hope to be in a band one day. We were planning to begin last year, but our drummer decided two years ago that he wants to be an airline pilot instead. Dodgy or what!?

Music plays on my mind like nothing else...

Making this animation, the scenes and stuff I make is basically made from what comes into my head when I hear music.

If music be the food of love then play on,lend me your ears and i'll lead in this song.

When its coming from the heart , All the people sing along.
It's the man behind the music , It's the singer not the song.

Music was my first love , and it will be my last!

Computer games don't let you use your imagination!

It's all given to you on a plate in game.

Try reading a book to give your imagination something to do.
