My PC just isn't as quiet as it used to be. Instead of the almost silent fan sound, it sounds like it's on it's last legs (if fans have legs??). All it does is spin and groan, and the heat from the back is getting quite warm.
Does this mean that the fan/processor is getting knackered??? - I think it is! Should I get a new one soon??
Or is it worth me getting a whole new PC, which may happen later this year!
I also think it may be my processor, as games and stuff have started slowing down a bit.
Open up the case, take out each fan and give it a clean - they pick up quite a lot of dust, and blow it in to the pc. If it's still noisy, try to determine which fan is cauing it, and replace that one - if it bothers you. To be honest, unless it's the CPU fan, I wouldn't worry too much. Try and get motherboard monitor (as long as your mobo has temp probes), and check the case/cpu temps.
