Ok - I am real pleased with myself - this may or may not make you grin - or if you live in Watford and were there at the time then please don't shout at me, here goes:
It all started ages ago.. To cut a very long story short - I have a DC - I am interested in the succes of the Dreamcast and Sega as I am a stakeholder in the company - Even though I am but a mere consumer - I have had the Dreamcast since day 1 - and it has seen many games - and still does - and even had a baby brother for a couple of weeks (i.e. I bought one and sold one on at a slight but good profit).
I am VERY pleased with the games that have been released - and I can't wait for MSR and Shenmue and the rest. BUT, I have many a mate that couldn't until a few months back, bring themselves to accepting that the DC is a great machine and although they all say to me when they play - without the others 'wow!' but I want a PS2' they all ganged up on me saying how shi te the DC is compared to the PS2 - they can see their mistakes.
I managed to persuade - allthough not much persuasion was needed - that my mate Mat should get a DC - a great Deal - £135 for a DC NEW + Toy Commander and ChuChu Rocket - he's also ordered another ChuChu Rocket! and 1 controller - from GAME and we traded 4 PS games for £15 off the £150 price.
Not bad eh? - Then, when I took a Photo of the store I got spoken to - 'told off' - apparently photos are not allowed without a permission slip - I needed them for a Graphic Design Project that I am currently doing.
ANY way, Before this - this is the good bit - We went to EB - and they were going to give me mate - I had to say everything - £25 for his PS as part exchange - he tested it - but GET THIS - at this exact moment a woman and her son asked whether EB had any 2nd hand PSXs! GREAT - LET them make a blatant mess up! they said - infront of them that they'd give me - my mate - £25 and then they said that they'd sell it to them for £45 - I said to these two people - that I'd sell it for £40 - they said 'ah but we give you a warranty!' F * * * that (I didn't say) and they ordered us to get out the shop - not in a hostile way - but he was right p i s s e d off! I then negotiated and we got £55 - for a PS 2 cntrls 2 mems, 2 games - MGS and Driver - not bad! £70 including those other games!!
YES I BEAT the retail - split second timing, great stuff.
He has now been playing Toy Commander and downloading loads of VMU games from www.VMUCENTRE.co.uk - great Tetris game!!!
I can now be pleased - I also sold my other mates Saturn stuff - with 4 games and a gun for £61 - great deal for the bloke who bought it - great deal for my mate!
Oh, and I have coloured controllers!

I could tell you about the time I ordered two Playstations from a catalogue, they were delivered and no-one signed for them, so I requested that the catalogue should send a couple more, which they duly did because they did not have a proof of delivery, so I got 4 for the price of 2. Or about the time a mate of mine gave me his chipped playstation because he thought it had broken and all I had to do was clean a bit of dust out of the controller ports to get it working again. Or.....feeling sick yet?
That has really put a smile on my face! I hate those cocky gits from EB, they make me sick!
