Why are too few of these type of websites etc giving no credit to the cube for the excellent console it is.
heres my thinking.
Theres a reason consoles exist. Its because the pc cant quite play certain games the way a dedicated machine can.
When all we had was 2d games i.e duke nuke on the pc those sought of games we had the console equivalants that were better (mario!).
Then we had 3d on the pc and the same then (i refer only to certain games/genres i.e fighting games driving games etc)
And we have the same now in the second generation 3d games.
But we have a problem.
The x-box.
It effectively isnt a console its a pc thats more like a console. So its a step in the right direction for pc gaming but not for console gaming.
Reading some of the stuff in this article makes you feel a little quesy i understand that some people can be bias but the x-box is not the second coming of console gaming.
The article basically dismiss's the cube from the start (apparently its a kids console and no competiton,convieniantly forgetting resident evil, eternal darkness, wave race, star wars and so on)and makes constant comparisons to the PS2 threw out and even then it doesnt say that x-box is that much better than the ps2 in many cases. its a wierd article it poitns out what is good about teh Box and skims over what isnt.
well you read and tell me what you think its a long article and i only read about a third but make sure you read the start where it just dismiss's the cube.
