I'm not sure. I thought it might be but then when ps2 came down in price and most people who didn't already have a ps2 went out and bought one for christmas x-box's chances must have been slaughtered.With it being so much money and so big(its huuuuuuuge) will anybody actually get it. I realise that it has wicked games coming out on it like HAlo etc. but surely the PS2 has more games coming out that look good(MGS2, GTA3, FF10) and also with Gamecube coming out near the same time and that being a lower price with also good games coming out on it surely x-box will do as well as the dreamcast did.(In case you don't know how well the dreamcast did its isn't very good, they stopped producing them)so is anyone getting an x-box??????

not me. I am waiting for my ps2 to be delivered and i have preordered my gamecube. is it true that the xbox can play ps2 games?
I've never heard that and i doubt it but if it could then it will sell then. But theres no way sony would let them do that.
where do these idea come from? that's like asking if my dreamcast will play mega drive cartridges.

maybe, but the question is can microsoft afford to cut the price? I don't think they can, considering the majority of people are going to buy a gamecube or get more ps2 games. If microsoft cut the price, it would have to be near christmas, so they would be able to compete with the low(maybe lower) gamecube price.
I think it will be a big success. The games that are coming out are good. I think that most people dont like it because of Microsoft. I was the same, I hated it and didnt know whether or not to get one. But now I think the console is great and will be great. People dont like it because of one word Microsoft. Everyone compares it to a PC, which it isnt.
