I want to live where I don't have to worry about anything more than how I'm going to win the next ten-pin bowling match. But hey, I live in the real world.
Well, it's that time of the year again where you really need to balance your priorities, studying for the all-important exams, or playing more computer games? See, when your doing the course I'm doing, playing games is considered valid research, but on the other hand, so is completeing the assignments set by the university, and passing them well might look good to provisional employers. But, that's the thing, right now, I don't care.
I had a dream once to be rich, not sure how I'm going to accomplish that yet, but it's the dream, nothing more constructive than being able to live without worrying about anything other than winning the next game.
But, I'm growing up now. I want to see the world, look at cool things, learn stupid things that I find interesting and everyone else finds boring, and generally broaden my horizons. When your a little nipper, your horizon is the end of the street. When your a teenager, it's getting a car, and being able to buy alcohol (legally, ;) ). But now I have a driving license, I have a passport, and I'm big enough and ugly enough to fend for myself. So where do I go next?
In two years time I'll be an educated young man, hopefully, about to take my first step into the world of games development, where the difference between being successful and being a failure is marginal, and ruled by something more powerful than fate, luck.
I know where I am today, I know where I want to be tomorrow, but what do I do to get there, and more importantly, what do I do if I get lost?
Make them wisely.
> what do I do if I get lost?
Ask for Directions.
