Okay, this is something that has had my attension for a while. Half-Life is an excellent game. Although I have played it before on PC, it never really did anything for me, and it doesn't, unless you're playing it in the dark with headphones on. But that's not what I'm trying to say. I never got a good go on it until I played on PS2, and I was quite dissapointed with it. It wasn't 'oozing with atmosphere' like I was told it was, it wasn't 'one of the most action packed games ever' like I heard it was. It was no better than doom. And i hate doom.
I'll admit that it has the most variety with downloadable levels and extra games and suchlike, but people who own the PS2 version will probably never get these.
and thats a damn shame.

well it is very old especially after all the awards it won on the pc but after its brillent conversion i have to say there are not many games on the ps2 that can challenge its style of game play, its simply one of the best first person shooters on the ps2 if you don't like that style of game then you won't like it.

I actually thought Half Life (ps2) was pretty good, I finally FINALLY completed it over the weekend, although my other half stole my glory right at the last second - I nipped to the loo & he took over and smashed in the mega baby's head (w****r!).
But what a cr*p ending, I was expecting something amazing, but it wasnt. However, I finally got to see who the creepy looking fellow was that lurked about.
