All games are now are improvements over the game that first created the genre.
Pikmin is a game with a unique genre i found that a mix of many.
But say for example FPS or RTS these genres have games come out for them reguarly that are either clones or no different form whats allready out there.
Will gaming reach a point where no new games can be created because its all been done before?
Oh those wasted years looking for a table-wrestle-em-up.

This obviously doesn't mean litterally seven stories, but seven types of story, the details and specifics of which will of course differ.
Maybe there are no 'new' types of game. But we all still like a good story, don't we.
