Hello!

I love free software. I've got Audacity for my podcasts and Core FTP for my uploading needs. I even solved my banner system by finding something called "OpenAds", apparently it's all done with something called "PHP". I'm kinda suprised none of you mentioned it to me before. =) I tried to get the beta version working but I had problems so hopefully I wont have any problems with the stable version.

Anyway, I have a webcam and a nice new microphone. Only problem is, I dont have something to record them both with. =/

I think this webcam did have software with it but my brother destroyed it and I threw away 3 other webcams.

Can anyone point me in the direct of some software, preferably free?

I've been having some fun with CamStudio too. It allows you to film your desktop, which should come in handy.

If you open up Microsoft Movie Maker, and use the capture function, you may see your webcam / microphone listed as available input methods.

Edit: I'm sure that last post of yours Machie wasn't there 5 seconds ago? Oh well :)

Hi Machine,
Can't recommend anything myself - but going to download.com and searching for 'record from webcam' and filtering on FREE gives a few options for you.

Perhaps someone else will be able to recommend somthing direct for you?

machie-travel-guide-spoof.com ???

Oops sorry Hmmm, that program is for uploading images from a webcam onto the web. I need to record videos from my webcam. Kinda like with YouTube, only not using YouTube =D

Usually you get software with the webcam that allows you to record video clips but that's not an option for me at the moment :(

Hi Machie,
This is all a bit "deja vu"...

How did you get on with booruWebCam - it seemed to "suit all your needs" last time you tried this machie webcam ?!?

I reckon Machie's website is just one loooooong running Freeola spoof ;ŹD
