Be perfectly honest I think GT3 looks pretty pathetic compared to many games seen today, games like XG3 look much better.

Lets not forget GT3 on PS2 - still the best looking racer out there on any console.
I was so close to buying a GC with the cash I got for Xmas on tuesday.
I was going to make up the rest of the cash by trading in a bunch of PS2 games, and I phoned up a mate to see if he wanted any of them first and get advice on what game to get, and ended up going over there.
I played a bunch of games, and wernt fussed on them at all.
Ended up buying THPS4 for the PS2 and a digital camera instead.

MGS2 is still the best looking game on any format, and it's on the PS2, but in general, the Gamecube has "better" hardware capabilities, but it all depends on how well individual games are developed.
