Seriously though the issue of bugged games is a pain in the (expletive deleted) to the gaming community, so many times have i bought a game then found out that i have to spend countless hours searching for a patch to download so i can fix the errors which should have been sorted out before the release of the game.
For example i'm talking about little things like clipping, i've played loads of games where if you go up to a wall it just dissapears. How realistic is that (if your superman yeah). Also mafia has a major bug on the first city, there is a particular part of grass and if you step on it you just fall through the floor.
So beyond a doubt be prepared to once again this year spend a few hours downloading patches for the future game releases.

I've got Vice City and there are quite a few bugs in that but it's still polayale. As you said though you can't patch Console games but thank fully you can patch PC games to sort out the problems.
Smugglers Run - Hyped up before the PS2's release, but it was rushed to fit the actual release of the console, so felt half finished. The graphics where bland, the missions where way too repetitive and the sound had a tendency to cut out every once in a while for no explainable reason. The game also had three environments set around different climates, only two of the environments where exact replicas of each other, only one was covered in snow and other one wasn't.
Timesplitters - The original Timesplitters was rushed, the developers even admit this, and after playing it's sequel I can see just what that game left out. The graphics where slightly crapper than it's sequel and needless to say the single player section was crap and there where allot of things put into the sequel that had to left out of the original to fit the release of the PS2.

Just don't be ignorant in thinking console games are made perfectly because you can't patch, and again don't be ignorant in thinking all PC games are merely rushed from lazy developers.
I don't really mind small bugs like Clipping problems and so forth, and to be honest I don't think I've played allot of games which come with a huge amount of bugs. Those games which do have either been lazily developed, rushed or have been made by small time developers who can't really afford to fix the problems the game may come with.
