Ok so this has probably been mentioned on these forums in the past.
But why are microsoft still stating on there latest announcements that the Xbox is still the first console with built in memory when its blatantly obvious that it isnt?

Maybe there denying the existance of the sega saturn completely.

Probably. Somewhere.

I think everyone knows Microsoft aren't immune to making mistakes! Technically, every console should have built in memory, it's whether they have non-volatile memory that counts.

Hmm strange, im sure it mentions the first to have memory somewhere.
Your right about the hard drive, my mistake, but still microsoft say "First console to have built in memory".
Do you have the Xbox promotional DVD?

Ok. I understand that, but my post was not in reply to the original topic, but rather in reply to a later topic stating that the Xbox has a built in hard drive.

Looking at a glance around xbox.com, all I could find was:

"An internal hard drive, for massive storage of game information — a first in the console gaming industry"

Saturn had built in memory, go to the Xbox.com site and look around, it claims the Xbox to be the first console with built in memory. Also a direct quote from the promotional xbox DVD. "Xbox is the first console to have built in memory!"

It didn't have a hard drive though.

A built in hard drive, and a bit of memory is a lot different. For a start, a hard drive has moving parts.

At a guess, the saturn probably has PS2 memory card-like memory inside. Which is NOT a built in hard drive.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Brilliant service.
Love it, love it, love it!
