With most games, I have suitable music playing in Winamp while I play. Here are some great songs that work great in Max Payne, especially in bullet time -

House Of Pain - Jump Around

Kid Rock - Cocky

I only listen to good music while playing games, music that really suits the game. Like I'll listen to the Pearl Habour and Enemy At The Gates sound tracks while playing Medal Of Honour

Try playing GTA III with the "Gone in 60 Seconds" soundtrack hitting out.
