Me talking about football is a bad idea though as I am too biased...I'll try my best...
I reckon the Premiership -> Division 1 gap is getting smaller. Recent promotion winners have had reasonable success at sticking around in the Premiership, Leicster, Derby, Sunderland, Bradford etc. (Leicster are in Europe AGAIN) And teams like Charlton are making a fight of it too. Also look at the cup successes of Tranmere, Fulham et al. So does this represent a growing trend or just some temporary flukes? Your opinions are invited.
On the other side of things you have clubs like Blackburn and Forest(the source of nearly all the pain and frustration in my life) who I think of as "Premiership" sides who go down and stay down, instead of rampaging over everyone else in the division. Looks like Sheffield Wed and Wimbledon are set to follow their example too. It seems like a couple of years ago there was a clear set of Premiership clubs, and a clear set of Division 1 ones, but now its all blurred in the middle. Although of course clubs like Man U and Portsmouth are pretty much staying where they are.
Anyway, let's hear what you think....
And if you read this before Saturday, say a little prayer for the Forest boys, we've got to take on the Fulham Bulldozer this weekend.......
