Ok, I know I go on about this a lot but, it's just getting to the point where it is ridiculous. The WWF is just wasting too much talent and it's getting damn annoying, as the poor individuals involved don't even have another top federation they can go to to help solve the problem.

The problem stems from the main WWF title division where the WWF scriptwriters seem to think that they can have no more than six genuine contenders for the top belt...three heels and three faces. These spots are currently being occupied by Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle and The Undertaker (heels) and The Rock, Stone Cold and Triple H (faces). Plus a couple of guys who spend their whole time jobbing to this top six, Rikishi and Booker T seem to be filling these rolls at the moment. The end result of this is the rest of the roster hits a glass ceiling. The likes of Edge, Rob Van, Tazz and maybe even William Regal should be being pushed into main events, but they can't get their because, unless one of the big six gets injured, there is no room for them to go upwards.
The case of Kane is perhaps even worse, he's in the best shape and form of his career and the WWF won't give him a shot at a title, a decent match or anything other than taking the mick out of him backstage! He should be at least worthy of an intercontinental title shot?

Which brings me nicely to The Intercontinetal title, which is rapidly becoming a joke. William Regal is in probably the worst form of his career since coming to the WWF and is rewarded with a title run? Go figure...Lance Storm was a pretty lame champion too and I say that as a huge fan of Lance's. I thought the IC title was supposed to be a springboard for future champions? OK Edge granted is all this, but giving hima feud with RegaL that no-one wants to see?

I'm not even gonna address the European division. Although the two most recent champions Christian and DDP are somewhat better wrestlers than we are used to seeing at the head of the division that in the past has given us The Hurricane, D'Lo Brown and even Mark Henry as champion...

The Hardcore division is even worse, it has laid in ruins since Undertaker took the title from RVD and has for one reason or another not bothered to defend the title. We need someone to surprise Undertaker and take the belt off him, even if it takes a lot of help doing it. Someone like Maven, perhaps, to bing the title back where it deserves to be, down among the low-carders who are more likely to pull off really good hardcore matches, cos they'll do almost anything to get noticed.

The Light-Heavyweight division needs a huge influx of talent to get it going. Maven qualifies for this division so why not give him a title shot? At least he would generate some interest in a title that the WWF seems to have forgotten about.

The Tag Team division is struggling too. Has Paul Heyman been put in charge of this? I ask because whoever is in charge seems to be using the old old old ECW storyline of Spike teaming up with ANYONE to try and get one over on his brothers, which WAS amusing...but only the first time around...

Point being...the WWF has some great wrestlers that aren't being used. Perry Saturn is as talented a competitor as I have ever seen lace up the boots yet all he gets is matches on Metal! He's not even deemed good enough for HeAT match?
Mind you...at least he's got one betterc than the card that was dealt to the likes of Raven, Justin Credible, Tommy Dreamer, Stevie Richards et al. All good talented wrestlers, all removed from the WWF top level roster. Get it together WWF.

Yes, you do. But you make many fair and true points, but still I think (DDP voice) "How about we have a lot less negativity, and much more positivity??"

Nice post Cong and it has a great point.

I have been saying stuff like this for ages and hopefully the WWF will start to realise that they are being stupid right now with all their roster cuts and things like that.

Nice post! A bit like Grandpirx's rant.

That may be but that coincides with the time I stopped watching the WWF, maybe they should have made him drop the title even if it didn't look good.

They completely killed the WWF title when Austin had it. He had it since Wrestlemania without ever being in a fued with it until Angle FINALLY came along as a face.

WCW bounced their title around too much, but WWF don't do it enough

Remember how coveted the WWF title was during the last Rock/HHH fued while Austin was out?

Now it's a joke

I'm not saying Y2J isn't good enough, but the WWF aren't DOING ANYTHING with him!

On the subject of Tag-Teams. The WWF has been using Steven Richards and Tommy Dreamer extensively on the road, in house shows and even the occasional dark match. Rumour would have it they have been impressive coming up with some innovated double-team offence and the WWF could be bringing them into the Tag-Team title picture sooner rather than later. Or then again, they may be brought back to Metal...the choice is theres...

I say again we need more shows. When Chris Benoit comes back where will he fit in? Will he go back to IC or will he get another chance at the main title.

I have to agree with the mess the belts are in.

There aren't enough full time tag teams for a start. There's Spike and Tazz, The Dudley Boyz, The Hardy Boyz (when they come back), Chuck and Billy, and Albert and Scotty. 5 tag teams and one isn't even being used. This time last year there was about 8 maybe more. Some of these mid-carders like Saturn, the Hurricane, Bossman and Richards need to change character and form a Tag Team, for their sake and the WWF's. We also need proper names and identities for Albert and Scotty, and Spike and Tazz. Until they do they will never be a true success.

The Intercontinental title isn't too bad with the title regularly being on the line and worthy of a big match at pay per views. People like Edge, William Regal and RVD make matches interesting.

The European title has just become more interesting with DDP winning. I think we need more turnover of champions and more matches to get more superstars into the limelight and into Raw and Smackdown and maybe into pay per views. Suggestions are Shawn Stasiak, Perry Saturn, Funaki(maybe) etc.

The Cruiserweight (that's what it's called now) needs to be put up there with the intercontinental title. Tajiri is a step in the right direction and people like the Hurricane, Scotty and Funaki need to show what they can do against equally sized opponents along with newcomers from WCW. The crusierweight division there was great, why not transfer it to the WWF

Somehow since the WWF acquired ECW the hardcore division has gone downhill, how is this possible, why isn't Paul Heyman doing something. Get rid of the Undertaker, bring back Blackman, Rhyno, Raven, Hardcore and Crash to show how the Hardcore title should be. If it is possible pay Mick Foley millions of dollars to come back. It's unlikely but it would certainly liven things up.

The WWF title isn't too bad, maybe if their were a couple of winnable matches in Raw or Smackdown it would liven things up, but of course you have to pay to see the WWF title to change hands.

Furthermore...we all moan about the state of the cruiserweight division...yet a really talented cruiserweight like Chavo Guerrero has come...and apparently gone...
