When deciding what game to buy, we can ask here and get responses, mostly useful, so the game is bought, the developer is happy, we are happy, the developer goes on to make greater and better games.
When deciding what console to invest in for the gaming future, we can ask here and get a whole host of responses, that console is bought, the manufacturer gets bigger and makes better consoles, everyone gets happier.
Am I really looking at the world through rose-tinted glasses (or should I just clean them more often,) or is this just a feeble attempt to win GameaDay for a second time? Yes, but that would make me happy too, so I don't care.

"Rogue 3 reporting in: Fine here too."
"Rogue 2? Rogue 2 report in!"
"Rogue 2 reporting in: Everthings fine."
"Is everything alright Rogue 2?"
"Well, no, not really."
"Whats wrong?"
"Well we come up here, we fly around, shoot down some ties, complete the mission, and then fly home."
"And?"
"Look down at that planet"
"Yeah, beautiful ain't it"
"No matter how far we fly towards it, it never gets any bigger"
"What do you mean?"
"Its all a game, just a game, but once, just once, I would love to be able to fly down to that planet, land on the surface, maybe walk around in first person, maybe get out my lightsaber and hack a few people, only to escape by jumping into my X-wing and flying back to the Liberty."
"Game?"
"Never mind. Go and attack that ship."
"Yes sir!"
This happens to me a lot while playing X-wing Alliance, wishing I could land on the planets, and then switch to first person. God how fun would that be! Unfortuantly it would be nearly impossible to do. But that would be my dream game. (Sigh)
1) Fly around in space until you get to a space station where you can dock. (Flight sim)
2) Walk around the space station solving puzzles and getting money, while developing your character(s). (Adventure/RPG)
3) Occasionally the space station will contain people who are after you, either stand and fight or run away while avoiding obstacles, jumping ladders etc. (fighting/platform)
4) Find a station buggy (like moonraker/austin powers) and race through the crowded space station back to your ship (racing)
5) Spend money in the amusment parks on the station or on your ship (arcade)
Is that everything? Sounds like a good game to me.
