Having checked your account I can see you do not have Web Freedom which Hmm mentioned.
Our VIP Hosting is the replacement for Web Freedom, which allows you to upload to your web space from any internet connection. To upload to our free hosting you must connect via our Dial-up or broadband service, as mentioned here. If you are not doing this then that will be the reason for the FTP error message you are seeing.

Hi subplay,
As DL replied earlier I didn't comment - FWIW I tried FTP on webserver6 earlier and all was fine for me.

Please post if you've still got an issue in case something's going on - and it's always nice to hear when problems have been resolved :¬)

NB. I take it you are either connected via a Freeola connection or have 'web freedom'?

Morning subplay, welcome to the Forums.

Have just tried to connect with CoreFTP to freeolaweb4 and no problems, lightning fast. Hopefully a Staffie will be along shortly to shed some light.
