Okay, recently I've been putting huge intros in my matches. To me, this is a good thing as it builds rivalries. However, I feel this could be detremental to the match as it pushes the length to beyond what people can stand to read.

I put this to you. Leave the intros in the match post or post the intro after/before I post the match.

I read through no matter what but long entences can build up tension. For example when the Rock sometimes stares down his opponents.

I hardly ever put an elaborate enterance in my matches (except for maybe my Burnout one where I hyped it up a bit) however long enterances can be good so I say keep them long if you wish or is needed (say for a big match) or concentrate on the match more, whatever suits you/the match type really.

I understand what your saying here. As long as the match is good, it doesn't matter about the intro.

I think that would be a bad idea, designated a topic just for your entrances. All I can say is make the entrances a bit shorter. The length of the match is fine, but the length of the entrances just make you think that it should be longer.

Well GP, the match you wrote for Burnout was good but when you finally did get into the match, i was just getting into it when it ended to soon. So i say if your going to do that post them in a separate topic before the match and just wrote the match then.

Leave 'em in...my last match was huge WITHOUT an intro and lots of people still read it (or at least the SAY they did...). Anyway, point being...if the action is good, people will read whatever the length. The key is to KEEP them reading with great action!

It's just that some people get put off when there is a long match to read. However the match isn't as long as you think because I write backstage bits before the match starts.

Leave them in! I always try to make reasonably long matches for my E-Fed (http://members.tripod.co.uk/salevaa/ukwf). It builds up the match and makes it more exciting. Keep them in mate, they make a match what it is. Would Triple H .vs. Austin be the same with crappy entrances?
