***PS2*** £199 Release :Available now!
The oldest of the current consoles (not including DC) but still amazing. DVD playback out of the Box and amazing quality games. The console has a great controll, backwards compatibl, uses DVD for huge data capacity, and current great games include GTA3, SSX Tricky, GT3,DMC and TH3 that are available now and then MOH:Frontline, FFX and MGS2 on the horizon. The console has set itslef up well in the market and is making great progress with some real quality games coming out at reasnoable prices, and GTA3 is reason enough on its own to own one. Seems to have strategically changed the release date of MGS 2 to be that near the X-Box. Crafty!
***GameCube***£150 Released son after X-Box
The last of the consoles to be released here in the UK, offering about the same capability as the PS2. Its extremely good value, although cannot play DVD's and Music Cd's. Carrys on my favourite games such as the Zelda/mario series and smash brothers and is in the cool shape of a cube. EAsily the best looking of the next gen and SR have it to prereserve for 20 notes! Get in there!!
***X-Box*** £299 Release March
when you think of Microsoft you think of bill gates but microsoftwants its X-box to appeal to 16-26 year olds as it says so isnt using old bill mainly to market the product. Offers the best quality abilities of all the 3 consoles with the highest specs and has games including Abe and Halo. Because its a new commer there isnt as much inside opinion as you may have had from a sony or nintendo console, but with the right support it could go far.
Ok people, theres my thoughts and opinions and some facts, i think theres enough insight to help you choose a next gen console out of those 3 or maybe your first console - either way have fun and chill out with games

Microsoft are trying hard to succeed and doing some pretty good promotion to get noticed by teens and younger adults.
