I will be taking my iPad2 wifi to the USA later this year
It is set up to receive and send my email.
The incoming server is "name".freeolamail.net
and outgoing is smtp.freeolamail.net
SSL is on
Server port is 995
My question is will I be able to connect to WIFI hotspots in the US and receive and send my emails or need I go into webmail instead.
I believe I am on emailpro.

I don't see why not, although changing the outgoing port number to 2025 will help rule out a few ISP restrictions you might run into out there. Although it probably isn't absolutely necessary.
You would also be required to turn off SSL to use this port. As SSL isn't really needed, this shouldn't cause you too much of an issue.
You can change the outgoing port number through the 'Advanced' settings section of your mail settings.
