Its getting to be a new and very annoying trend that PC developers seem to be getting into these days. Ok, bugs need ironing out in games, features need to be tweaked, final clean ups of code and so on but the Multiplayer version of SOF II could have been implimented in a patch after its initial release surely?.
I recall at the start of 2001 thinking that by summer that year I'd be playing the likes of Unreal II/SOF II/MOHAA/Hidden And Dangerous II. Now over a year on, we're still no closer to getting our hands on any of them (okay MOHAA is not too far away but its still been a very long haul).
If this trend does infact continue throughout the year with all the big titles constantly taking another step backwards from release then 2002 may not turn out to be so great afterall. Roll on 2003 I guess.
