anyway..ps2 will rule..but it has some crappy games which is a shame. i know i played it in japan.they should get rare to develop some good ones for them off nintendo
the gamecube,at the moment, wil not be released in japan until 'late 2001' that means that the actual release date for japan will be spring 2002 as these things always slip..and Europe will be lucky to get it for christmas 2002.Ok,maybe if the N64 still had some life in it..but it doesn't.The last games for the N64 will be released by the end of this year, and then nintendo will stop bothering.I personally do not want to wait 2 years watching as all my PS2 and dreamcast owning friends play there new games while I sit waiting for a machine that might well die within 6 months of being released anyway.
People should stop being so loyal and defensive of their favoured company sega, nintendo, etc.Do you really need to make excuses for a company that is supposed to be providing you with a product...it's no big deal but these company's are taking our money and we should expect a better return not endless waits and c***-ups so we're gratful when they release 1 miserable game.anyway...that's my bit said.
Me, I'll wait patiently for my Gamecube, I'll "get by" with my N64 until then, and I may even enjoy the anticipation of the wait. Computer games for me are a time-filler, something I do when I've nothing else to do, not something that I prioritise over other activities. I could certainly live without them (although I wouldn't like to), and if the games I'm playing while I'm waiting are worse than those PS2 owners have got, so be it. A wait of a few months, or even a year is not unreasonable for something that should last you for 3 or 4 years, especially if you have a games machine to play while you do so.
In any case, from what I here supplies of PS2s are going to be somewhat less than plentiful for a few months after its release - I don't think they can even meet the pre-order demand.
Of course I might try to persuade one of my flatmates to part with HIS cash for a PS2 and thereby get the best of both worlds....
Here endeth the rant.....
